was established in 1981 by
late Mr.Ikhtisar Ahmed, father of present Managing Director and
Chief Executive
Mr.Aquil Ahmed. Eastern group, a family concern, is now sailing in third
generation
with Mr.Adeel Ahmed joining as Director after having completed Masters degree
in
Shipping, Trade & Finance from CASS Business School, London, UK.
From its inception as ship agents, eastern group has expanded & diversified in to a
prominent
and well-respected organization with strong connections in Pakistan and
overseas.
Due to the highest standards of integrity, quality and professionalism, eastern group has been
selected
as the exclusive member of Multiport Ship Agencies
Network in Pakistan. This
distinction further speaks volumes of our high
calibre, reputation and virtuosity.
The group's headquarter and all administrative funtions are housed in its own office building,
Eastern House, in the Keamari
district of Karachi immediately adjacent to the port. Additional
terminal operations offices
are maintained at Karachi Port where fully computerized office
facilities and container terminal
is operating round the clock.
Eastern group has its own offices at all the inland container depots at Lahore, Faisalabad
and
Sialkot which are the main commercial/industrial centers of Pakistan.
